Celebrating Global Glory: DPS Srinagar Students Shine with Silver and Bronze at World Pencak Silat Championships
DPS Srinagar Congratulates Nehal Zubair and Alishba Fatima Jillani for Winning Silver and Bronze medals respectively at the 20th World Pencak Silat Championship and the 5th Junior World Pencak Silat Championship held in Abu Dhabi from December 18-22, 2024. A total of 1100 students from 57 countries participated in the Championship.
Nehal Zubair, a grade 9 student secured a silver medal in the weight category 59-63 kgs and Alishba Fatima Jillani, a grade 10 student, earned a bronze medal in the weight category 55-59 kgs. Their exceptional achievement is a source of great pride for both the school and the nation.
They showcased remarkable skill and dedication while representing India in Pencak Silat. Their accomplishment is a testament to their hard work and the continuous support of their families and the school.
Chairman of DPS Srinagar, Mr. Vijay Dhar, expressed his immense pride in their achievement, stating, “Their success is a true example of perseverance and discipline.
