The Plantation Day function was held on 21st March at the Department of Geology and Mining with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to environmental conservation. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of afforestation and promote sustainable living among the participants.

Five students from DPS Srinagar actively participated in the event, with two of them delivering insightful speeches on the significance of tree plantation. Their addresses emphasized the vital role of trees in maintaining ecological balance, mitigating climate change, and enhancing biodiversity.

A highlight of the event was the sapling-planting ceremony, symbolizing our shared commitment to a sustainable future. Participants enthusiastically engaged in the activity, promoting a sense of environmental responsibility and community involvement. This initiative not only beautified the surroundings but also raised awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.

The program concluded on a memorable note with the distribution of mementoes as a token of appreciation for the participants’ dedication.
