Delhi Public School Srinagar proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of two exceptional Class 10 students, Mehreen Ashiq and Adan Parvaiz Khan, who have brought immense honour to the school with their remarkable performances at the Khelo India Asmita Pencak Silat Women’s League (Junior).

This prestigious national-level event took place from May 1st to 4th at Christ Academy School, Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai, under the esteemed organization of the Maharashtra Pencak Silat Association and the recognition of the Sports Authority of India (SAI). With 364 athletes from 30 states across India vying for top honours, the competition was fierce and highly engaging.

Representing Jammu & Kashmir, both Mehreen and Adan showcased exemplary skill, determination, and sportsmanship. Mehreen Ashiq, competing in the 47–51 kg weight category, demonstrated remarkable strength and agility, facing formidable opponents from Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Karnataka. Her perseverance and outstanding performance led her to secure a Silver Medal. Adan Parvaiz Khan, in the 59–63 kg weight category, exhibited unwavering dedication and skill against competitors from Chhattisgarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Assam. Her commendable efforts earned her a Bronze Medal.
