
Spreading Warmth and Compassion: DPS Srinagar Students Visit Orphanage
On 17 June 2025, Grade V students of Delhi Public School, Srinagar, visited the Muslim Welfare Society Welfare Educational Institute and J&K Yateem Khana (Rahat Manzil, Bemina) to nurture empathy, compassion, and social responsibility.
The visit began with a guided tour of the campus, where the management, including Moin Ul Islam (Chairman), Mohammad Iqbal (Vice Chairman), and Manzoor Ahmad Paul (Secretary General), showcased the school, hostel, library, and other facilities. This gave the students insights into the daily lives of the residents and the institution’s operations.
The day concluded with a heartfelt assembly, where Ms. Nazia, the school’s Academic In-Charge, addressed the gathering, inspiring the students to embrace kindness and inclusivity. An interactive session followed, allowing DPS students and the residents to exchange stories and ideas, fostering deep connections and mutual respect.
The school also donated library books to enhance the educational resources at the orphanage, a gesture warmly appreciated by the residents.
