Overnight Camp for Grade VI

June 20 @ 10:30 am - June 21 @ 10:00 am

The overnight camp for Grade VI students at DPS Srinagar, held on June 20, 2025, was a vibrant tapestry of learning, creativity, and camaraderie. Designed to offer students a meaningful break from routine, the camp blended joyful activities with invaluable life lessons.

The day began with a serene prayer led by teachers, establishing a peaceful and reflective atmosphere. A cheerful welcome song and energetic music soon followed, infusing the gathering with unity and enthusiasm.  The creative spirit of the camp was evident early on. Boys participated in a hands-on board game project, crafting engaging and functional games using a variety of materials. Simultaneously, the girls poured their hearts into designing heartfelt family photo frames—keepsakes that spoke of love and imagination.

A fireless cooking session brought students together to showcase their culinary flair, as they prepared refreshing mojitos, colorful fruit cream, and an assortment of no-cook dishes. Their joy in the kitchen was matched by the burst of flavors and creativity on display.

After refreshments and a hearty lunch, the campers dove into a series of interactive games organized by their HRTs. These activities not only promoted physical fitness, strategy, and teamwork, but also deepened bonds among peers. The swimming session added a splash of excitement, as students gained confidence and cooled off in the water.

As twilight set in, the students gathered around a bonfire where laughter, song, and shared stories created an atmosphere of warmth and friendship. Even after dinner, the revelry continued with games and musical moments that strengthened the bond between students and teachers.

The morning that followed was filled with tranquility and renewal. In celebration of International Yoga Day, students took part in a revitalizing morning walk and joined a special yoga session, embracing wellness as the new day dawned. As they departed, students carried with them more than belongings. They left enriched—with stronger friendships, deeper self-awareness, and memories that will last a lifetime.
