DPS Srinagar Strikes a Winning Chord at Kala Utsav Competition
Delhi Public School, Srinagar is delighted to announce a momentous achievement by the students of our Music Department, who have brought immense laurels to the school by sweeping the top positions at the recent Kala Utsav competition. The event was organized by the Office of the Zonal Education Officer, Srinagar, on the theme “Viksit Bharat,” and saw participation from numerous schools.
Amidst vibrant competition, our students showcased their exceptional talent and secured the First Position in four major categories:
- Solo Semi-Classical: Syed Meeran Geelani
- Solo Percussion: Divij Singh
- Solo Instrumental (Melodic): Chowdhary Mohammad Aariz
- Instrumental Orchestra: Zaigham Wajahat, Hamzaah Saadut Mir, Mohammad Bakhtiyar, and Divij Singh
This remarkable success is a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and passion of our young musicians. Their victory is also a testament to the excellent guidance provided by their teachers, Mr. Arshid Hussain and Mr. Mohammad Maqbool, who have nurtured their extraordinary talent.
Chairman of DPS Srinagar, Mr. Vijay Dhar, expressed his immense pride, stating, “Our students’ resounding success in the arts is a testament to their immense talent and the rich cultural spirit of our school. Music is integral to a complete education, and these young musicians have brought great honour to DPS Srinagar. We are exceptionally proud of them and their dedicated mentors.”
