
Delhi Public School Srinagar Dominates District Thang Ta Championship with 16-Medal Victory
Delhi Public School, Srinagar has announced a landmark victory for its students at the District Srinagar Thang Ta Championship 2025. The school’s team delivered a commanding performance, securing an impressive 16 medals in the highly competitive tournament held at the Polo Ground Indoor Stadium on September 19th and 20th.
Competing against approximately 250 participants from various schools and clubs across District Srinagar, the DPS Srinagar contingent of 19 students showcased exceptional skill, discipline, and sportsmanship. The team’s final tally included 9 Gold, 3 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals, underscoring the school’s dominance in the traditional Manipuri martial art form.
The gold medalists who led the school to victory are Onizah Qadri, Fatima Hilal, Munaza Aira, Farjumand Riyaz, Zynah Sartaj Mantoo, Khadija Arafat, Seerat Fatima, Arhan Ashraf, and Tabin Peerzada.
Expressing his pride, Mr. Vijay Dhar, Chairman of DPS Srinagar, stated, “This victory is a powerful display of our students’ discipline, focus, and respect for a traditional martial art.
