DPS Srinagar Hosts ‘Fun Te Funkaar’ Theatre and Film Festival 2025
DPS Srinagar hosted the “Fun Te Funkaar” Theatre and Film Festival 2025 on 5 November 2025, celebrating student creativity and performance-based art forms. The festival brought together participants from SRM Welkin Sopore, Green Valley Educational Institute, Doon International School Pattan, Arise Academy Mujgund, Delhi Public School Budgam, Paramount School, and Government Higher Secondary School Amira Kadal.
Students competed across various categories, including Street Play, Mime, Mimicry, Monologue, and Filmmaking. Each presentation reflected thoughtful preparation and a strong sense of artistic engagement.
The event was graced by Mr. Amir Bashir, noted actor, director, and producer, as the Chief Guest. The judging panel comprised respected figures from theatre and cinema: Mr. Mir Sarwar, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Mr. Majeed Majazi, and Mr. Mir Afnaan. Their presence added depth and encouragement to the occasion.
DPS Srinagar secured first positions in Street Play, Mime, Filmmaking, and Monologue, while SRM Welkin Sopore placed first in Mimicry. The festival was entirely planned and coordinated by students of DPS Srinagar, led by:
