
DPS Srinagar Dominates J&K Thang Ta Championship with 14-Medal Haul
Our martial arts team has delivered another spectacular performance, achieving a remarkable victory at the J&K UT Thang Ta Championship 2025. The prestigious event was held from November 9-11 at the Polo Ground Indoor Stadium, right here in Srinagar, and our students showcased exceptional skill and competitive spirit.
Competing in a large field of approximately 550 athletes from various districts of J&K, our team’s performance was simply outstanding. Out of our 17 student participants, an incredible 14 secured medals, demonstrating the depth of talent and quality of training at our school.
The final impressive tally stands at:

Principal, Ms Shafaq Afshan, was thrilled with the result: “This is a staggering achievement. To have 14 out of 17 students on the podium in a UT-level championship is a testament to their exceptional hard work, discipline, and the warrior spirit Thang Ta instills. We are immensely proud of every single one of them.”
