LRC Autism Unit Promotes Inclusion on World Autism Awareness Day
The Autism Unit of the Learning Resource Centre at Delhi Public School Srinagar observed World Autism Awareness Day on April 2nd with the aim of promoting understanding and inclusion within the school community.
The day began with an awareness initiative for the entire school through an informative video. The presentation highlighted the importance of acceptance, empathy, and support for individuals with autism, helping to sensitize students and staff.
Students of the ASD unit then participated in a range of engaging activities, including painting, sensory play, and theatre time. These activities encouraged creativity, participation, and social interaction in a nurturing and supportive environment.
