LRC Organises Nature-Based Learning Experience at Badamwari Garden
Students from the Autism Unit and Early Intervention Department of the Learning Resource Centre, Delhi Public School Srinagar, were taken on an educational visit to Badamwari Garden. The outing was planned to provide a change of environment and to extend learning beyond the classroom.
Set against the backdrop of blooming almond trees, the visit offered students a calm and engaging space to observe and connect with nature. They spent time noticing colours, shapes, birds, and other natural elements, which supported the development of observation skills in a natural and unstructured way.
The outing also encouraged interaction among students. In a relaxed setting, they were able to communicate more freely with peers and teachers. The experience included simple sensory engagement, as students explored different sights, sounds, and textures, contributing to their overall development.
