DPS Srinagar Shines at Media Fest 2025: Student Filmmakers Win First Prize
Great news from the creative front! Our talented student filmmakers have won first prize in the Student Short Film Competition at the Green Valley Educational Institute’s Media Fest 2025. Competing against schools from all over the Valley, our team’s work stood out and brought a huge honour to our media and arts department.
The winning entry, screened at the event held on October 13, 2025, was lauded for its exceptional cinematic quality. The judges highlighted the film’s brilliant fusion of technical skill, imaginative creativity, and a compelling narrative that resonated with the audience. This victory is a testament to our students’ ability to craft powerful stories through the digital medium.
The festival, themed “A Celebration of Imagination, Innovation, and Inspiration,” provided a vital platform for young creators to explore their artistic vision. It celebrated the importance of media literacy and creative expression, making our students’ victory in this arena particularly meaningful.
Principal, Ms. Shafaq Afshan, expressed her immense pride, stating, “This is a wonderful achievement that shines a light on the incredible artistic talent within our school.
