DPS Srinagar students represent UT at National level
Students of DPS Srinagar represented the UT of Jammu and Kashmir at Basketball Nationals in various age groups in the month of January. Ibadi Farooq and Fazal Khursheed participated in the U-19 category held at Punjab from 06th to 11th January 2024. Salman represented the valley in the U-14 Boys category and Famal in the U-17 Girls category, both held at Chhattisgarh from 04th to 7th January. Similarly, in the U-14 girls category held at Rajasthan from 08th Jan to 13th January 2024, Noorain, Aisha and Toiba represented the region.
Also, Hayaan Batt, of class 8th will represent J&K in football at the 67th National School Games 2023-24. The event is scheduled to take place in Ranchi, Jharkhand, from January 17th to 21st 2024.
Congratulating the athletes, the Principal Shafaq Afshan remarked, “Our students are always engaged in the quest of outshining their predecessors and peers in all spheres of excellence: academic and sports.
