DPS Srinagar students wins 17 medals in Wushu Championship

DPS Srinagar students won a rich haul of 17 medals including 6 golds at the recently concluded 2 Days District Srinagar Wushu Championship held at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex Srinagar. More than 500 players from different schools & clubs participated in the championship. The school deputed a 20-player contingent under different weight categories to the tournament which returned a haul of 6 golds, 2 silvers and 9 bronze medals.

The Principal of DPS Srinagar, Ms. Shafaq Afshan, expressed her delight at the success of the students, saying, “We are immensely proud of the feat of our medalists and their contribution to our acclaimed legacy of excellence. Their victories testify to their dedication and the rigorous training they receive at our school. We will make every effort further to identify and nurture their talent and aim to create more such champions in the future.”

Congratulating the medalists, the Chairman Mr. Vijay Dhar said “This remarkable haul reflects the commitment of Delhi Public School Srinagar to the holistic development of its students.
