Celebrating the accomplishments of its alumna, the Delhi Public School Srinagar is proud to highlight the success of Ms. Namiya Azad (Batch 2012). Proud alumni of DPS Srinagar set an example after she secured 94th Rank in the civil services examination.

“Hard work pays off” never sounded as right as it did in the case of JKPSC CCE 2022 cracker Namiya Azad, who did not give up despite failures and struggles. This significant achievement brings pride and honor not only to her school but also to the entire alma mater community.

Ms. Azad has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and proficiency throughout her school life. Her qualifying of the JKPSC is a testament to his unwavering commitment to public service, leadership acumen, and ethical values – qualities deeply instilled by DPS Srinagar.

Namiya did her Bachelors from Government College for Women in Srinagar after which she completed her MA from Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi. Then came the years-long struggle, starting in 2019. “It takes a lot of hard work, there’s no doubt about that. But it is possible to study for 15 to 16 hours a day. I’ve done everything what it takes”, said Namiya. “My teachers at DPS Srinagar have always emphasized gaining knowledge. And there is no better match for gaining knowledge than the Civil Services, with the diverse subjects we have to learn,” she added.

Congratulating her, Chairman Mr. Vijay Dhar said, “Her journey from DPS Srinagar to the qualifying JKPSC examination serves as an inspiration everyone preparing for the exam and beyond. Her relentless pursuit of excellence and her profound impact on the region have made us all immensely proud. Congratulations! We are extremely proud and wish you achieve even greater heights in your life.”
