Green was the silence,
wet was the light,
the month of June trembled like a butterfly.

While the entire sub-continent was being traumatised by the scorching heat, the Valley was still experiencing the cool weather. The whole valley was a mosaic of varying shades of green rice fields, yellow mustard stretches, meadows, trees and with its lakes and waterways, a haven in comparison to the scorching heat of the plains. The beauty of the mountain slopes were enhanced by the vibrant flowers. An element of celebration and gaiety still could be seen all around. D.P.S, Srinagar however continued its pursuits of its goals, the academic excellence and the holistic growth of its students.
DPS was conceived as a noble venture in the minds of the honourable Chairpersons Mr. Vijay Dhar and Mrs. Kiran Dhar. A thought which manifested as a reality on 10th March 2003 – A reality which stands as a tangible proof of its goals! The past few months have reflected their achievement while the school continues to view education as challenging yet an enjoyable experience.

And so with the sunshine and the green bursts of leaves growing on the trees,
just as things grow in fast movies,
I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.
