Life Skills Enhancing Overnight Camp for Class LKG

August 1, 2015 @ 8:00 am - August 2, 2015 @ 5:00 pm

Overnight camp is a place for kids to be themselves while making friends and trying out new experiences. These camps are dedicated to facilitating a memorable overnight camp experience for all kinds of kids─ helping them make memories of fun times and engage in confidence- building activities with a new group of peers.

Keeping in view the importance of camps, our school has organised an overnight camp for Class LKG on 1st August, 2015. It is an exhilarating time for LKG kids as they got an opportunity to stay in the school and bond with their peers and teachers.

Hats off to the 125 girls and guys who walked in with a spring in their feet and a smile on their face with their tiny suitcase filled to participate in their first ever camp today, leaving their teary eyed parents behind.

So, Here We Go!

DAY 2

8:30 am –  Group Photos, Activity & See Off

After a hearty breakfast, our bonny gals and guys, gave their best shot when they posed for a group photo. They then proceeded towards the Atrium to draw and depict their best moments at the camp.

Time vanished like a jiffy and it was time to say adieu.

The overnight camp ended with the assembly- children sang songs; spoke about what they liked at the camp.

Parents were indeed surprised to see that their kids had stayed away from them without hardly any fuss. Many students in fact didn’t want to leave.

The overnight camp succeeded in making our students more confident and self reliant and taught them skills of independence, doing things with responsibility from a very young age. Bravo, youngsters. You sure did grow up in a span of a day!

6:00 am – Rise and Shine

A brisk morning walk and exercise gets our youngsters in the right mood start to a new day.

LKG kids were treated to a special candle lit dinner in the “Indoor Stadium”.

Then came the time to make their bodies go “zoobi-doobi”. The kids enjoyed it the most. As the flames of the bonfire leapt high ,so did the excitement on the faces of our youngsters.

Finally exhausted, our kids nod off to sleep.

5:00 pm –  Look Mom and Dad at the magic in my hands!

In the present world where mere academics fail to develop the child completely, craft activities were organized too. Kids enjoyed making ‘Rocking Snowman’ ‘Penguin’ ‘Bunny’ ‘Joker’ etc. The way they were dedicatedly trying to get the perfect shapes of said objects in a way reflected their innocent minds, away from the vices of this world, that are ready to digest as much amount of knowledge as can be possibly imparted to them.

Learning with fun has always worked well with kids and we believe in the same. To enlighten the children with some useful knowledge, activities like ‘Milking the Cow’ was conducted that allowed them to make recognition of domestic animals and useful products given by them. They also enjoyed the game ‘Jumping over the Rope’ that introduced the value of competitiveness, dedication and desire to win.

10:00 am A Hearty Breakfast

The ravenous youngsters then proceeded to ‘Indoor Stadium’ for a hearty breakfast and ate to their heart’s content.

The day’s program started with an assembly conducted by teachers which included Prayer, a Welcome Song and a Short Skit which set the mood for the day urging children to respect all creatures-big or small, and also taught them that each and everything has its own place and importance.
