First Camp, First Adventure: LKG Students Experience a Night Away at DPS Srinagar
Delhi Public School, Srinagar hosted an Overnight Camp for its LKG students on August 8, 2025, offering a joyful blend of fun, creativity, learning, and teamwork. The event gave the youngest members of the DPS family a safe and memorable taste of adventure, leaving them with experiences to treasure.
The day opened with a soulful prayer and cheerful choir songs, followed by an energetic Zumba session in the Indoor Stadium that set a lively, uplifting tone. After light refreshments, the children took part in engaging class-based activities before coming together for a hearty lunch.
The afternoon was filled with creativity as students expressed themselves through art, bringing vibrant ideas to life with colour and imagination. A visit to the mobile planetarium became a highlight, sparking awe and curiosity about the wonders of the universe. The excitement continued outdoors with spirited sports activities that nurtured teamwork and encouraged physical fitness.
As dusk settled, the campers gathered around a warm, glowing campfire, singing songs and sharing laughter in the spirit of togetherness. Dinner in the Indoor Stadium ended on a sweet note with ice cream, which was met with pure delight.
The following morning began with a refreshing walk and light exercises, followed by breakfast before the arrival of parents. The children left with bright smiles, carrying home fond memories of friendship, discovery, and joy.
The Overnight Camp proved to be a resounding success, seamlessly combining learning and laughter while creating moments that the young participants will cherish for years to come.
