Bal Mela 2024: A Joyous Children’s Day Celebration at Delhi Public School, Srinagar
The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) department of Delhi Public School, Athwajan, Srinagar, organized a delightful Bal Mela on 14th November 2024 to mark Children’s Day. The event, thoughtfully arranged by the teachers, was filled with a variety of engaging activities and delicious food, making it a memorable celebration for the students.
The food stalls were a massive hit among the children, offering a range of mouthwatering items. Students indulged in treats like gulab jamun with ice-cream, tandoori tikka, chicken lollipop, chicken rolls, chicken tikka, and chola lawasa. Other favorites included chat papdi, biryani, sandwiches, and the ever-popular panipuri. The sweet and creamy jelly custard added a perfect dessert option, delighting the young food enthusiasts. Teachers managed the stalls, ensuring every student got to enjoy the culinary delights.
The games and activities were equally exciting and kept the students entertained throughout the day. The Angry Bird Shootout and Snake & Ladder games were crowd-pullers, while the Jungle Gym and Ring Game encouraged physical activity and fun. The mehandi stall brought a creative touch to the event, while tic-tac-toe (gie-bac-toe) tested the students’ strategic thinking. The Gaming Arena added a digital edge, further enhancing the excitement.
The Bal Mela was a vibrant celebration of joy and togetherness, meticulously organized by the teachers. The students thoroughly enjoyed every moment, making it a day filled with happiness, laughter, and cherished memories.
