Educational Visit to Jammu and Kashmir Bank
On 9th April 2025, the Learning Resource Centre (LRC), a department of Delhi Public School, organized an educational visit to the Jammu and Kashmir Bank, B.B. Cantt, Shivpora. The aim of the visit was to provide students with a basic understanding of banking operations.
A group of students, accompanied by teachers, departed from school at 11:00 AM and reached the bank by 11:20 AM. Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed and given a comprehensive tour of various departments within the bank, including the advanced section and the cash section.
One of the highlights of the visit was a live demonstration of the cash counting process, which fascinated the students and helped them understand how banks ensure accuracy in transactions. In addition, the students were briefed on the procedures for depositing and withdrawing money. They were shown the relevant forms and later had the opportunity to fill them out independently, applying what they had learned.
The visit proved to be an enriching experience, combining practical exposure with interactive learning. It not only broadened the students’ understanding of banking processes but also sparked their interest in financial literacy.
