LRC celebrates National Sports Day
“Run When You Can, Walk If You Have To, Crawl If You Must: Just Never Give Up”
In India, National Sports Day is celebrated on 29th August every year to commemorate the contribution of sports celebrities. The 29th August was chosen as The National Sports Day to give due respect to Major Dhyan Chand who was a legendry hockey player.
The Learning Resource Centre of Delhi Public School, Srinagar celebrated The National Sports Day on 29th of August 2022. The event was started with an inspirational note by the co-ordinator of LRC Ms. Munaza.
Students participated in the event with great enthusiasm and fervor and their performances left us speechless.
Several matches were played during the event which included:
- Table Tennis match between a student and a teacher
- Carrom Match between students
- 80mt. running for students and teachers
- Cricket Match between students
- Tug of War between teachers
After the event, an award ceremony was organized by the LRC department to felicitate the students who participated in the games.
