Visually Impaired students visit Batmaloo Fire Station
Delhi Public School’s Visually Impaired Department organized an educational visit to Batmaloo Fire Station on September 21, 2023, aiming to enlighten students on fire safety and the role of firefighters. The day began with a warm welcome from the station’s staff, introducing students to real-life heroes.
An interactive session highlighted firefighters’ daily routines and equipment through tactile experiences, emphasizing touch and sound for the visually impaired. A guided tour of the fire station allowed students to explore a fire truck, learn about firefighting tools, and participate in emergency response simulations.
The visit culminated in a vibrant Q&A session with the firefighters, fostering admiration for their bravery and dedication.
