An Exposure visit of students to various business units of J&K Bank organized
Students from classes 8th to 12th of Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar embarked on an enlightening journey to various business units of Jammu and Kashmir Bank (J&K Bank). This visit, organized in collaboration with J&K Bank, aimed to provide these young minds with a firsthand experience of the banking sector, its operations, and the diverse career opportunities it offers. The students returned from this visit more inspired and motivated to excel academically and pursue careers in finance and related fields.
The purpose of the visit was the Career Exploration, Real-World Exposure, Motivation and Aspiration. It provided students with practical insights into the operations & functions of a leading financial institution like J&K Bank and inspired & motivated students to strive for academic excellence and aspire to pursue careers in finance, economics, banking, and related fields. These visits introduced students to the wide array of career options available in the banking and finance sector. Also it facilitated interactions between students and professionals in the banking industry, fostering connections and mentorship opportunities.
Students were given the opportunity to tour various J&K Bank business units, including branches, customer service centers, and digital banking hubs. These visits offered a glimpse into the day-to-day operations, customer interactions, and digital innovations driving the banking sector. Informative sessions were conducted by J&K Bank professionals, covering topics such as- Banking Products and Services, Career Paths, Financial Literacy, etc. Students had the opportunity to engage in Q&A sessions with J&K Bank employees, gaining insights into their career journeys and learning about the skills and qualifications required to excel in the banking sector. This also allowed for valuable networking opportunities.
