Author and consultant Suhel Seth visits school
Noted author and consultant Suhel Seth paid a visit the school on 18th August. The dignitary was given a tour of the school by the Principal Mr. Alistair R A Freese, Vice Principal Ms. Shafaq Afshan accompanied by Mr. Vijay Dhar on arrival.
A warm welcome was accorded by the school choir’s prayer followed by the Head boy – Babar Bilal’s welcome note. The school orchestra also performed for the guest.
The assembly was addressed by Mr. Seth wherein he acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the school towards the cause of holistic education and enlightenment in the valley. He recognized the fact that ours was the first school in the entire state to set up a special educational needs department for special children, stressing on the global need for greater empathy and solidarity in the society. Breaking the petty boundaries of religion and culture, he said , was important and recognized the fact ‘the religion of humanity ‘must be accorded utmost precedence.
He was kind enough to reiterate his earlier commitment of being the Brand Ambassador of the School, opening a catering facility inside the school and even setting up on airline training facility for aspiring stewards and air hostesses.
