Career counselling session with lady army officers
An interactive Career counselling session was held in DPS, Srinagar on 2nd November 2017. In this session, girl students of class X got an opportunity to directly interact with lady officers from the Indian Army. The aim was to create awareness and counsel the girl students about various career options in the Indian Army.
The session started with a presentation about life in the Indian Army. The lady officers briefed the students about a wide range of courses offered by the Indian Army. They also provided the details of the admission procedures.
The lady officers spoke about the adventurous life in the army which thrilled the students. The students were excited by an interaction with Major Snober Khan, who has carved a successful career in the army, despite facing major challenges. Being a Kashmiri, she connected well with the students.
The students asked questions which were answered by the lady officers and Colonel Mathews to the utmost satisfaction of the students. The session concluded with a Thank you note presented by students of DPS and Ms. Sumera. The session was presided over by the Principal and the Vice Principal.
