Venturing into the embrace of nature’s bounty, Delhi Public School, Srinagar organised a day trek to Shankaracharya Hill on Thursday, May 16,’24 for Grade 4 students. Before starting the trip, they learned about why the hills are special and how to stay safe outdoors. With their teachers and a medical team, they started the trek from UNO office Sonawar, Srinagar. Even though some parts of the path were tough and children were tired, they cheered each other on and took breaks to enjoy the views and sing songs. The view of Dal Lake from the hill, along with the trees, appeared exceedingly beautiful. It brought a unique joy to the children, one they had never experienced before. After a few hours, they reached the top and looked out at the beautiful sky. On their way back down, they thought about their adventure and felt thankful for the chance to learn and explore.

Shankaracharya Hill trek was a memorable journey filled with learning, laughter, and camaraderie. Through this outdoor expedition, they not only discovered the beauty of the natural world but also forged lasting memories and friendships that will endure a lifetime.
