01-12-25

DPS Srinagar is proud to share that Miss Kibra Iqbal of Class 10-C has been selected to represent Jammu and Kashmir in the AIFF U-17 National Championship, to be held in Chümoukedima, Nagaland. Kibra earned her place in the team after a demanding trial process conducted by the All India Football Federation. The preparatory camp began in Jammu on 13 November and continued till 12 December, bringing together young players from across the region for intensive training and evaluation.

Nearly 30 girls from the Kashmir division took part in the trials. After careful assessment, the selectors announced a final squad of 20 players—with 7 from Kashmir and 13 from Jammu. Kibra’s selection reflects her hard work, discipline, and consistent performance on the field. Representing J&K at the national level is a significant step for her, offering the chance to compete with some of the best young footballers from across the country. It is also a proud moment for DPS Srinagar, as Kibra takes Kashmir’s sporting talent to a wider stage.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Kibra Iqbal on this achievement. The school wishes her and the entire J&K U-17 team every success in Nagaland. Her journey is a reminder to all our students that dedication and passion can take you far.
