22-04-26

Delhi Public School, Srinagar organised an educational field visit to the Burzahom Archaeological Site for Class IX students. The visit was conducted in a well-planned and organised manner and proved to be both meaningful and enriching.

The primary objective of the visit was to connect classroom learning with real-world archaeological evidence. It provided students with an opportunity to understand how early humans lived, adapted, and interacted with their surroundings. The visit also enhanced their geographical understanding by helping them analyse the significance of the Karewa landforms and the reasons behind the selection of such locations for early settlements.

Students were provided with observation worksheets, which they completed on site. They remained actively engaged throughout the visit and showed keen interest in examining the historical and geographical features of the area.

The programme was carried out smoothly, and all students returned to school safely. Overall, the visit served as a valuable learning experience that strengthened conceptual understanding and encouraged curiosity beyond the classroom.
