
Educational Visit to SPS Museum Conducted for Grade IV
An educational visit to the Sri Pratap Singh (SPS) Museum, Srinagar, was organised for students of Grade IV on April 1, 2026. The visit aimed to promote experiential learning and to deepen students’ understanding of history and cultural heritage.
The students visited the museum under the supervision of their teachers and displayed enthusiasm and curiosity throughout. They explored a variety of exhibits, including ancient artefacts, sculptures, paintings, and historical models. The visit helped them relate classroom concepts to real-life observations in a meaningful way.
The museum provided valuable insight into the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir. Students developed a better appreciation of local traditions, art, and history through direct exposure to the exhibits.
Students remained attentive and actively engaged during the visit. They observed the displays carefully and participated with interest in the discussions. On returning to school, a worksheet-based assessment was conducted to reinforce and evaluate their learning.
The visit proved to be enriching and impactful. It contributed to the students’ academic growth and encouraged a deeper appreciation for history, culture, and heritage.
