Grade II Orientation 2026: A Collaborative Beginning
Delhi Public School Srinagar conducted the Grade 2 Orientation Programme on 25th February 2026, ensuring a structured and informative beginning to the academic session.
Out of 338 parents, 214 attended the orientation, while approximately 40 parents had informed the school in advance that they were out of station and unable to attend.
The programme was organised in two parts. In the first session, parents were provided with a comprehensive overview of the academic plan, curriculum framework, and important school guidelines. The presentation aimed to familiarise parents with the objectives and expectations of the academic year.
In the second session, homeroom teachers interacted with parents in their respective classrooms. Teachers explained subject integration, key skills to be developed, assessment practices, and the communication process to be followed throughout the year. The interactive session allowed parents to engage actively and share their concerns and suggestions.
The major concerns raised by parents included queries regarding section shuffling, a suggestion that the school arrange Annual Day costumes to ensure uniformity, with parents bearing the cost, and a request for structured counselling sessions on various topics, both in group settings and individually. All queries and concerns were addressed clearly and thoughtfully during the session.
Parents appreciated the opportunity to interact personally with teachers at the beginning of the academic year, which helped establish clarity and confidence. Overall, the Grade II Orientation was conducted smoothly and proved to be a positive and productive experience for both parents and teachers, reinforcing the school’s commitment to collaborative partnership and transparent communication.
