Little Stars, Big Show: Grade 2 Dazzles at Annual Day Performance
The stage came alive with color and energy on August 19, 2025, for the Grade 2 Annual Day celebration, which was held with great zeal and enthusiasm. The theme, “Fairy, Flickers and Fable Fun,” was the perfect springboard for an evening filled with a fantastic blend of music, dance, and drama, all designed to be both entertaining and inspiring.
The evening kicked off with a soulful prayer that brought a moment of calm before the stage erupted with the joyous energy of a Welcome Dance by Class 2I. From there, the magic just kept unfolding. The audience was completely captivated by graceful fairy dances and melodious songs that brought classic tales to life. The creativity was on full display with a “Majestic Walk” of fairy-tale characters, an enchanting “Once Upon a Time” dance, and a high-spirited performance featuring music from “Frozen”.
But the show had more than just sparkle; it had heart. Thought-provoking skits like “Beauty, the Beast; the Power of Kindness” and “Small Stories, Strong Messages” delivered powerful lessons on compassion and wisdom. Even the laughs came with a lesson, as the hilarious act “The Adventures of Shale Kak” cleverly wove in moral values that left the audience smiling and thinking.
All in all, every single performance was bursting with the students’ creativity, confidence, and talent, leaving the audience simply spellbound. The Principal, Ms. Shafaq Afshan, was in attendance and praised the incredible effort from both the students and their teachers. In her address, she touched upon the important role of guiding children in our digital world, reminding parents that responsibility should be key when it comes to mobile phones.
