Primary Wing celebrates First Annual Day
The Primary Wing celebrated its First Annual Day on Saturday, 15 September, 2018 in the school Indoor stadium. The Chairman Mr Vijay Dhar, Principal Alistair Freese, Vice Principal Shafaq Afshan, Academic In-charges, Activity In-charges and the parents were present on the occasion.
The programme commenced with the school prayer followed by the traditional ritual of ‘Isband Sozi.’ A beautiful song was presented first by a group of students to welcome parents. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony where students who had excelled in academics, various competitions, contests and other extracurricular activities were felicitated.
The award of Best student of the year was given jointly to Areen Afaq of class 6H and Sara Khalid of class 5F. The Best Class memento was shared by class 6B and 6F among 9 sections of the class 6 and from class 5. The award for the best class was again shared by the two sections, 5F and 5I. The award was received by the respective Homerooms.
Among other things, the day was celebrated through delightful activities conducted on the theme ‘Happiness’. They included – a fashion show, cricket and football drill, evergreen Kashmiri dance, heart touching Qawali and enthralling parents special dance.
In his address, the Principal lauded the students and their mentors for conceiving and executing an event of such grand magnitude. He urged parents to encourage and praise their children for their good work and achievements. The Chairman also appreciated the students and teachers for their commendable work.
