School football team tours Lucknow
The school football team embarked on a four-day tour of Lucknow from August 10-13 to play a friendly against La Martiniere College, Lucknow. The team was accompanied by the Principal Mr. Alastair Freese and Mr Mudasir, Sports Teacher. The team was received at the airport by the Vice-Captain of the host team as well as other representatives who accorded a warm welcome to the guests. The school team was formally welcomed in the morning assembly the next day by the school Principal, following which the team was taken on a guided tour of the campus.
In the evening, the friendly was played before an enthusiastic audience. Both teams played exceptionally well, and scored a goal each. The draw reflected the amiability and good cheer with which the match was played.
The host school kindly offered to take our team to a guided tour of the city next day. Among other places, the team visited Bada Imambarah, Old Lucknow and other places of interest. The trip was a through success as the two schools established a relationship of cordiality and camaraderie which can only serve them well in the future to come.
