Workshop on Health and Hygiene

04-04-17

Some great person rightly said, “The greatest wealth is health.”

The medical faculty of DPS Srinagar, organised a workshop on health and hygiene for class V in the school premises on 4th April 2017. The workshop included a very inspiring lecture by Dr. Masarat Sultana, a paediatrician from Gousia Hospital, Srinagar. It was very informative as the students were made aware about the importance of washing hands regularly in order to keep diseases at bay and they were also taught the 6 basic steps of washing hands properly. The students were also informed about the proper techniques of brushing of teeth and maintaining hygiene of sensory organs. This was followed by an interactive session of the doctors with our students. The students were quite intrigued and enthusiastic about the various aspects of basic health and hygiene that they got to learn about in the workshop. The lecture concluded on a positive note that students should inculcate healthy habits in their lifestyle. In the end of the session Mrs. Monisa khursheed (Incharge of class V) acknowledged the good cause of the workshop and delivered a vote of thanks to the medical team of school for organizing such a wonderful and beneficial programme.
