Chinar our pride
Delhi Public School, Athwajan, Srinagar has taken the initiative of promoting the “Go Green” concept across the valley. In connection with this recently the school celebrated ‘The World Forestry Day’ on 21st March 2014 by encouraging the Tiny Tots children to plant and protect a sapling. Each child brought a pot and school provided the saplings.
The school has moved further by encouraging the protection and preservation of our pride, the Chinar Tree. An open invitation has been sent to all parents who do have the space at home to acquire a sapling from the school. So far 50 plants have been gifted.
