What an utterly amazing school this is. So thoughtfully made, so bright and beautiful its spaces that my only regret is that I am no longer young enough to be its student. Perhaps I could apply to be the Librarian in what must be one of the most well-stocked and unriveting school libraries in the country. I wish you all the very best and thank you for the generous welcome and tour. I hope to be back here very soon with the entire crew. Warmest best, and many thanks.

Celebrated Bollywood Director Ms Kiran Rao visited the school on July 11, 2021. Ms Kiran Rao is an Indian film producer, screenwriter, and director who works in Hindi cinema. In 2016, Rao co-founded Paani Foundation, a non-profit organisation working towards the mission of fighting drought in Maharashtra. Rao started her career as the assistant director in the epic film Lagaan directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Lagaan was nominated for  74th Academy Awards in the foreign-language film category.

The school extended a warm welcome to her and guided her around the school. Accompanied by the Pro-Vice Chairman of School Mr Vijay Dhar, she visited the various labs of the school including the State of Art English Lab established in collaboration with Encyclopaedia Britannica. She also visited the ATL lab funded by NITI Ayog to encourage students to develop an interest in STEM and the internet of things. She was also taken on a guided tour of the Satya Devi Resource Centre for the visually impaired, as well as its parent department – Learning Resource Centre that caters to students with various learning and physical disabilities. Ms Rao expressed her delight at the impressive infrastructure of the school, which places it in the same league as the best schools in the country, especially considering that the school is only eighteen years old.
