EDUCATIONISTS VISIT TO DPS

DPS, Srinagar believes in imparting global outlook and networking with educationists from all over the world. Keeping with this tradition the school hosted a visit by some foreign diginitaries and eminent educationists led by Prof Meem Hai Zaffar, head of Kashmir Study Centre working on an exchange programme with Germany. His illustrious career boasts of being an ex-HOD, Department of Education, KU and ex-Director SAF. The team comprised of two teacher trainees – Mr Bashir Ahmed Bhat and Mr Fazl Illahi, from College of Education. The foreign guests comprised of Prof Harald Wilsen, Ewa Wilsen from Norway; Ilavia Stara from Italy; Maria Czerepaviav Walczak and Elzbioto Ferzyclo from Poland; Aveta Makowska from Norway.

The guests were given a tour of the school by the Principal Ms. Kusum Warikoo and the different Academic Incharges namely, Ms Yusra, Ms Hina, Ms Nousheen and the Adminstrator Ms. Shazia Bakshi. The team was shown the various facilities that the school provides for the all round development of the students be it academics, sports, performing arts or language skills along with leadership qualities.

Some team members also observed the classes and the learning atmospheres and had rave reviews to give for the staff and management as to their efforts in keeping up with the latest advances in education and teacher development.
